Description
Panasonic headquarters-Newark, is located at Two Riverfront Plaza, and is a state-of-the-art, 340,000-square-foot Class A office tower that is the first new office building for Newark’s downtown area in more than 20 years. The building was designed by leading architecture firm Gensler to achieve Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold Certification for new construction, as well as LEED Platinum Certification for Interiors, in order to meet Panasonic’s sustainability goal to reduce its carbon footprint by 50 percent. Two Riverfront Plaza features a two-story glass lobby; Panasonic’s new Innovation Center, showcasing various technology solutions; a full-service cafeteria; access to a parking garage below the building, as well as a new waterfront parking lot adjacent to the building; and 24/7 manned security
Scope of Services Provided
NobleStrategy provided pre-construction and construction support services to the Brick City Development Corporation (BCDC) to manage their input and assets (tax abatement/redevelopment grants) for the City of Newark. As Owner’s Representative for the agency, NobleStrategy created and monitored Newark First-Source hiring agreements with the construction team, managed trade labor employment from local unions and coordinated local/Newark workers participation as part of the Project Labor Agreement (PLA).
NobleStrategy provided strategic consulting and management oversight for BCDC during the preliminary project siting process and environmental/site preparation details. Our firm provided pre-construction technical assistance for sustainability/LEED certification during all phases of construction through project completion.
